บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาการแสดงร่วมสมัยเรื่อง “พระมหาชนก” ซึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒจัดแสดงเนื่องในงานวันสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ครั้งที่ 24 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นาฏยลีลาร่วมสมัยเรื่อง “พระมหาชนก” ดำเนินเรื่องตามบทพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดช แบ่งการแสดงเป็น 3 องก์ องก์ที่ 1 มิถิลานคร องก์ที่ 2 ความเพียรอันบริสุทธิ์ และองก์ที่ 3 ศรัทธาแห่งปัญญาธรรม มีการเล่าเรื่องโดยใช้สื่อได้แก่ การขับบทเสภา การแสดงหุ่นละครเล็ก การเล่นภาพเงาเคลื่อนไหว การบรรเลงเพลงประกอบวงดุริยางค์ออเคสตรา และการใช้แอนิเมชั่น การแสดงนาฏยลีลาร่วมสมัยเรื่อง “พระมหาชนก” ในครั้งนี้แสดงถึงการรังสรรค์สื่อการแสดงร่วมสมัยเพื่อถ่ายทอดเนื้อเรื่องชาดกที่มีมาในพระไตรปิฎก โดยยังคงเสนอบทบาทสำคัญของพระโพธิสัตว์ ผู้ยังคง “เพียรบำเพ็ญบารมีมิหวาดหวั่น” ท่ามกลางสังคมไทยที่เปลี่ยนแปลง

The Performance of Mahājanaka Creativity of Jatakas in Thai Society

Abstract
This research aims to study the contemporary performance ‘Mahājanaka’ produced by Srinakharinwirote University in the occasion of the 24th HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Day. The study finds that the performance is narrated sequentially according to HM King Bhumibol’s book ‘Mahājanaka’. The performance is divided into 3 acts; the first act- Mithilā Nagara, the second act – Perseverance, and the third act – Faith of Wisdom. Many performing techniques are used to narrate the story, for example, traditional Sepha recitation, puppets, shadow play, symphony orchestra music, and animation. ‘Mahājanaka’ reflects the creativity of a contemporary performance to convey the content of a jātaka, which is rooted from the Tipiāaka. It still represents a significance role of the bodhisatta who ‘determinedly fulfils the perfection’ in the changing Thai Society.
