ความสำคัญของเรื่องอิเหนาในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ : หัวเลี้ยวแห่งวัฒนธรรมอิเหนาของไทย

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มุ่งศึกษาการนำเสนอเรื่องอิเหนาในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ และศึกษา ความสำคัญของผลงานเรื่องอิเหนาในสมัยดังกล่าวที่มีต่อวัฒนธรรมอิเหนาของไทย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ เรื่องอิเหนาได้รับการนำเสนอในหลากหลาย ลักษณะ ทั้งที่เป็นการสืบทอดขนบเดิมและที่เป็นลักษณะใหม่ ผลงานเรื่องอิเหนา ที่เกิดขึ้นในสมัยนี้ไม่เพียงแต่แสดงให้เห็นว่าสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ เป็น “ยุคทอง” ของเรื่อง อิเหนาเท่านั้น แต่ยังแสดงให้เห็นความเปลี่ยนแปลงของวัฒนธรรมอิเหนาในสังคม ไทยด้วย ทั้งด้านความแพร่หลายของเรื่องอิเหนา ด้านรูปแบบและการนำเสนอเรื่องอิเหนา ด้านการละครอิเหนา ด้านเนื้อหาหรือสำนวนของเรื่องอิเหนา และด้านอิเหนา ศึกษา อันสะท้อนให้เห็นว่ายุคสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ เป็น “ยุคหัวเลี้ยวสำคัญ”แห่งวัฒนธรรม อิเหนาของไทย

The Significance of Inao during the Reign of King Chulalongkorn (r.1868-1910): A Transitional Period in the Thai Panji tradition

Abstract

This research aims to examine the presentation of Inao during the reign of King Chulalongkorn, as well as to analyse the significance of such Inao works towardthe Inao tradition.The article finds thatduring thatperiod, the Inao theme was presented in many kinds of art and cultural works in both traditional and new ways. The Inao works created at that time not only demonstrate that the reign of King Chulalongkorn was “a golden age” of Inao in Thailand, but also mark a significant turning point for Inao culture in many parts, including popularity, the forms and presentation, the style of performing art, the versions of Inao, andInao studies, indicating that the reign of King Chulalongkorn was “a transitional period” of the Inao tradition.
