บทบาทหน้าที่ของดนตรีที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมค่าวซอล้านนา

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทหน้าที่ของดนตรีที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมค่าวซอล้านนา โดยศึกษาจากวรรณกรรมค่าวซอที่ตีพิมพ์ด้วยอักษรธรรมล้านนาในช่วง พ.ศ. ๒๔๖๐ – ๒๔๙๘ จำนวน ๒๔ เรื่อง ผลการศึกษาพบว่าบทบาทหน้าที่ของดนตรีสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น ๕ รูปแบบ ได้แก่ การบรรเลงสำหรับการต้อนรับ พบ
ในฉากการต้อนรับตัวละครสำคัญที่กำลังเดินทางเข้าเมือง การบรรเลงประกอบการเดินทาง พบในฉากตัวละครสำคัญเตรียมการเดินทางและระหว่างการเดินทาง การบรรเลงในงานมหรสพ พบในฉากการจัดมหรสพสมโภชตัวละครสำคัญขึ้นครองเมืองและอภิเษกสมรส การบรรเลงขับกล่อม พบในฉากการบรรเลงขับกล่อมใน
ปราสาทพระราชวัง และการบรรเลงให้สัญญาณ พบในฉากที่ตัว ละครสำคัญต้องการส่งสัญญาณแจ้งให้ทราบ โดยบทบาทหน้าที่ของดนตรีทั้ง ๕ รูปแบบที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมค่าวซอล้านนา มีความสอดคล้องกับบทบาทหน้าที่ของดนตรีที่ปรากฏในเอกสารทางประวัติศาสตร์ประเภทตำนาน ศิลาจารึก วรรณกรรม และบันทึกการเดินทางของชาวต่างชาติ

The Roles of Music in Lanna Khao Saw Literature

Abstract

The research for this article aimed to study the role of music in Lanna Khao Saw literature. The researcher studied twenty-four pieces of Khao Saw literature published in the Lanna script between 1917-1955. The findings indicated that there were five roles of music: to welcome
the main characters on their way into the city; in scenes of the main characters preparing for journeys and during the journeys; for a festive celebration in Maho Rasop scenes when the main characters were crowned as kings or got married; in scenes of lullaby in the palace; and in scenes where main characters wanted to give signals. These five roles of music that appear in Lanna Khao Saw literature are consistent with the roles of music that appear in historical documents, including legends, inscriptions, literature and travel records of foreigners.
